Paul McKelvey

COO

Paul began his experience with gaming in the summer of 94 with Magic and then was drawn to Star Wars CCG. Traveling to events around the country and meeting new people really grew his love for competition and the gaming community. At SDCC in 2001, Games Workshop was debuting the T’au, igniting a passion for the Greater Good. After becoming the first ITC champion for 40k in 2015, Paul was asked to run a 40k event at a local convention. This sparked a conversation about tournament software, and led to the founding of Best Coast Pairings.

Garrett Mulroney

CTO

Garrett’s love for tabletop gaming began in 2005 with Dungeons & Dragons and Magic: The Gathering, and quickly expanded into Warhammer 40,000 and Age of Sigmar, where he became a regular competitor at local tournaments, and the top of the ITC leaderboards. As the competitive Warhammer community grew alongside the ITC, Garrett recognized the need for better tools to support them. He built Best Coast Pairings to make events easier to run and results simpler to report, helping fuel the ITC’s growth. Over the next decade, he helped scale BCP into the platform it is today, empowering organizers and players worldwide.

Competitive gaming has been with me since I was a kid, and I suppose I never really grew out of it! I got into Pokémon TCG tournaments in the late 1990s and quickly expanded into Warhammer 40,000 at the launch of 3rd Edition. Over the past decade, I’ve been deeply involved in competitive Age of Sigmar, earning back-to-back Top Maggotkin Player of the Year honors in 2019 through 2021. I joined the Best Coast Pairings team as Community Manager in 2025, where I focus on supporting players, organizers, and creating better event experiences at every level.
